Bill Dorman
Bill Dorman is an Australian artist, sculptor, jeweller and furniture maker with over 30 years professional teaching experience in Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
A self-professed professional beard-grower, Bill is also known for his uncanny eye for the hidden potential of ´junk`. Working with mediums such as up-cycled materials, metals, fabrics and wood, Bill´s collections reflect the artist´s quirky nature with function, form and the unexpected sharing equal importance within his approach and philosophy.
´When instructing, I like to encourage people to gain an understanding and appreciation of materials and different techniques so that ultimately they can then find their own individual design aesthetic and begin to create freely.’
